Ups & Downs

Well Miss E- You where in rare form yesterday, that's for sure. Dad n I took you to the grand ol MOA (Mall of America). Which BTW, I will never go to again on a Saturday afternoon. It was so busy! We met up with My little cousin (I say this sarcastically now considering she is about a foot taller then me and almost of legal drinking age).
She was in town with some friends and wanted to see you. At first you were very excited even ran up and gave her a hug and kiss, not wanting to be put down. As cute as it was it soon changed! Mean-E soon came out and wow- she came with a vengeance!
I'm not going to sugarcoat it babe, you were definitely the child people shook their head at as they walked and whispered to each other "Can you believe that kid?" It didn't take long to realize you were not up for a day of shopping. This would of been fine if it wasn't for the fact that my phone was dead and you n Daddy got left in the dust of the shopping excursion. I didn't even realize it until a very flustered father texted little cus' hours later.. OOPS!! Through out your tantrums you did wind up with a few new toys, yep guess we turned into those parents we said we'd never me- Rewarding their kids bad behavior! That was obviously pre offspring naiveness at its best. So home we went with your twins baseball, pillow pet and new shirts in tow
I am happy to report those many trips up on down the escalator you and daddy sure worked an your appetite. You ate last nights veggie stir fry without a fight and even asked for seconds!! This is the dinner time meals I've heard grand stories about from Nana & Papa!

(Your new super awesome pillow pet. Mom may be a little bias on this one -- GO HAWKS!)

Starting off...

0600-
Sitting at work, counting down the hour (singular now) til I am off. I am so ready to crawl into bed but I'm sure you have other plans for when I get home, Be gentle please.  I'll have  you know this is my first full weekend of the night shift since before you were born. I am not use to staying up all night! You were such a good baby, by eight weeks you pretty much slept thru the night. 7p-5a. Your father and I didn't complain one bit. We've heard horror stories about the allnighter's first time parents pulled with their party in my crib at 2am kind of kids. You, on the other hand, have always been a great sleeper- to the point were your father and I are kind of hesitant about a little brother/sister for you  for I'm sure they wont be as easy peasy as you. (so If you end put being a only child I'm sorry. Look at it this way-,You will a nice(r) 1st car then if we had other children to provide wheels too)

Anyways where to began-
You are now 15.5 months. Your hair is just long enough to get one small pony on top which you are not a fan of.  When you were a newborn I thought I had a small chance of passing on some genetic traits as you had black hair and dark eyes, but soon your hair fell out (I called you my little baldilocks for a while) and your eyes lighted to crisp blue. You are a spitting image of your father which isn't a bad thing.
You are a very active child who LOVES playing catch, coloring, and destroying the magnet wall in the kitchen. This wall, or more so those magnets have put you more then a couple time outs. You like to pluck them off the wall and throw them across the room. Instead of putting them back you just laugh at your father or I. Speaking of those timeouts- You have also become quite the picky eater (unless you're at Nana & Papa's- then you will eat ANYTHING). This new trick has made Mommy put herself in timeout so she doesn't go insane. I know I'm just getting what I deserve because I was not exactly a gem for grandma and grandpa when I was your age.
Other then that you are an amazing, happy-go-lucky, cheerful toddler. Its so weird to think you are already a toddler. Your first year seemed to fly but, which I am just realizing now as I am trying to hurry and get your baby book done. Which is why I choose to do this blog for you. Hopefully I can keep up on it better then I did that book.
